§ 2-352. Public works director.

The department of public works shall be operated under the direction of a public works director appointed by and responsible to the city manager, at such salary as may from time to time be authorized by the city council. He shall supervise and coordinate all operations of the department, serve as an advisor to appropriate boards and commissions on request, and work closely with other department heads on planning, engineering and financial matters affecting his department.
