§ 22-91. Required.

  • (a)

    Any person, if an individual, and each corporate officer and their employees, if a corporation, who performs or offers to perform any of the security services provided for in this article shall first obtain a regulatory permit.

    (b)

    No person shall perform or offer to perform the function of a security services technician without a permit issued by the building official.

    (c)

    No regulatory permit is required of a public telephone company and its employees. Building permits, however, are still required.

    (d)

    No regulatory permit is required of a state certified alarm system contractor or an alarm system agent working for a state certified alarm System contractor pursuant to Chapter 489, Florida Statutes, but is required of a certificate holder's employees. Building permits, however, are still required.
