§ 10-353. Prohibited dances.

  • (a)

    It shall be the duty of the building official to prohibit the conducting of any teenage dance where:

    (1)

    The sponsor has failed to register the dance as provided in this division.

    (2)

    There shall not be in attendance the minimum number of supervisors and the police officer as provided in this division.

    (3)

    The dance is not conducted in an orderly manner.

    (4)

    The dance is scheduled to be held in a dancehall that is unsafe, is a fire hazard, does not provide sufficient sanitary facilities, and is insufficient in size for the capacity of those in attendance, or for any reason is held under the city fire code or building code by the fire marshal or building official of the city to be unsafe or hazardous as a place for the conducting of a teenage dance.

    (b)

    No person shall conduct a teenage dance which has been prohibited by the building official.
