§ 78-171. Established, appointment and term of members and removal of members.

  • (a)

    The board of adjustment shall consist of seven members to be appointed by the city council for a term of four years. Members shall be qualified voters within the city and own real property within the city limits and shall hold no other office.

    (b)

    A member may be removed for cause by the city council upon written charges and after a public hearing. Any member missing three consecutive meetings may be removed from office without a public hearing. Vacancies shall be filled by qualified members for the unexpired term of the member whose post becomes vacant.
