§ 78-131. Designation; powers and duties.

The planning and zoning commission is hereby designated as the local planning agency and is empowered to perform all duties and activities set forth in F.S. §§ 163.3161—163.3211. In particular, it shall be the responsibility of this commission, with assistance from the planning office, to adopt and recommend to the city council a comprehensive plan and planning program that will best serve the needs of the city in its future growth. A yearly report shall be prepared detailing the activities of the commission and submitted to the city council by July of each year. The commission shall adopt procedures necessary to conduct its affairs.
