§ 66-36. Violation of promise to appear.

(a)

The violation of a written promise to appear, given an officer upon arrest or issuance of a traffic citation for any illegal parking, shall constitute an offense, regardless of the disposition of the original charge.

(b)

A written promise to appear in court may be complied with by an appearance by counsel.
