§ 66-33. Emergency and experimental regulations.

  • (a)

    The traffic engineer is hereby empowered to make all regulations necessary to make effective the provisions of the traffic ordinances of the city, and to make and enforce temporary or experimental regulations, consistent with this chapter, to cover emergencies or special conditions. No such regulation shall be effective and in force until and unless adequate signs, signals or other notices are erected clearly indicating such regulation. No such temporary or experimental regulation shall remain in effect for more than 90 days.

    (b)

    The traffic engineer may test traffic control devices under actual conditions of traffic.
