§ 62-34. Surcharge on electric service outside city limits.

  • The rates to be charged and collected for electricity furnished by the city to consumers outside of its corporate limits shall be the base rate as set in the rate schedule plus a surcharge equal to ten percent of the amount charged by the city for the sale of electricity and all services related to electric customer service, distribution, transmission, and power supply. The United States of America, the State of Florida, and all political subdivisions, agencies, boards, commissions and instrumentalities thereof and all churches recognized by the State of Florida providing such electric service is used exclusively for church purposes, are exempt from the surcharge, under this section.
