§ 46-72. Powers and duties; officers.

  • (a)

    It shall be the duty of the golf board to advise the city council regarding the operation and maintenance of any city-owned golf course. The board shall hold regular quarterly meetings and shall consider all matters referred to it by the city council respecting the maintenance and operation of any such golf course. The board shall make such recommendations to the city council and the city manager regarding the maintenance and care of any such course, and rules and regulations respecting the conduct and operation of the golf course as may be considered advisable or necessary by the board.

    (b)

    The board may elect from among its regular members a chairman and vice-chairman, whose terms of office shall run for one year. In the absence of the chairman and vice-chairman, the members present shall elect a temporary chairman for the duration of the meeting, or until the chairman or vice-chairman appears.
