§ 38-85. Emergency access lights.

  • (a)

    Required. Notwithstanding the provisions of the Life Safety Code or any ordinance of the city, emergency access lights shall be provided for all buildings in all means of ingress and egress and on all paths of travel to and from buildings.

    (b)

    Exceptions. The provisions of subsection (a) of this section shall not apply to:

    (1)

    One-story buildings which have direct access to the open air outside.

    (2)

    One- and two-family dwellings.

    (c)

    Compliance. No person shall construct or maintain a building which does not comply with this section.
