§ 34-1. Health officer.

  • (a)

    The building official or his designee, or such other person as the city manager may designate, is hereby appointed as the health officer.

    (b)

    The general functions of the health officer shall be as follows:

    (1)

    He may visit and inspect all property in the corporate limits of the city and ascertain the sanitary condition thereof.

    (2)

    He may cause nuisances to be removed from the city and shall provide for the proper disposal of such nuisances under the laws of the state.
