§ 2-253. Review of contracts.

Latest version.
  • No contract shall be entered into by the city until it has been approved as to form and legality by the city attorney, or the reviewing counsel retained in specific actions or proceedings as provided for in section 5.03 of the Charter. Form and legality shall mean that the contract is written in a manner that clearly articulates the terms of the contract and is in compliance with then-current law. The attorney's review shall be for the benefit of the city only and not any other person or entity. No contract shall be voided or is voidable because of a deficient form and legality review.
