  • (a)

Unless otherwise specified by state law or city ordinance, the term of office of all members appointed to any boards, commissions or committees shall be for a period of four years commencing on March 1 of the appropriate year.

Should any currently serving board, commission or committee member be unable to continue to serve for any reason, city council shall fill the vacancy in the same manner as the original appointment and that member will serve to complete the unfulfilled term of service.

    (d)

City council may by resolution adopt from time to time policies and procedures for appointed boards, commissions and committees by which they shall conduct their meetings and business to the extent they do not conflict with the code of ordinances.
