§ 2-1. Official flag.

  • The city shall have an official flag. The official flag shall be described as follows:

    (1)

    The flag shall have a U.N. blue broad horizontal stripe across the top, with a gold vertical stripe twice the width of the blue stripe at the hoist, and a white fly end for the balance of the flag.

    (2)

    The word "OCALA" shall be lettered across the face of the flag, near the bottom, in black, with the letter "O" being partially on both the gold stripe and white fly end.

    (3)

    The city seal shall be in the center of the letter "O" within a white border and shall consist of a U.N. blue disk on which there are a sun with rays, both in gold, and one large tree in orange with black trunk on kelly green grass with three smaller trees in kelly green with black trunks, on kelly green grass.

    (4)

    The boat shall be black, loaded with oranges, bananas, melons and pumpkins, all in gold, orange or kelly green. The figure in the boat shall be orange with black details, pushing the boat with a black pole. The tall plant shall be kelly green with a white top on kelly green grass.

    (5)

    All lettering in the seal shall be in black with black stars.
