§ 22-358. Conditions of MVL use.

  • (a)

    Persons offering goods, services, edibles or rentals for business sale and holding a valid MVL shall not:

    (1)

    Obstruct vehicular or pedestrian traffic;

    (2)

    Except in a GU zone, enter upon sidewalks or footpaths;

    (3)

    Enter upon any zoning district or area of the city, except as permitted by section 122-281 et seq. of this Code;

    (4)

    Enter upon any no-parking area, or loading zone;

    (5)

    Enter upon any metered public parking space, unless, in a non-GU zone, the required meter amounts are paid as due;

    (6)

    Stop or stand any vehicle so as to interfere with the normal flow of traffic;

    (7)

    Enter within 500 feet, measured by ordinary pedestrian route, of any elementary or secondary school building during a period commencing 30 minutes before classes begin and expiring 30 minutes after classes are concluded each day;

    (8)

    Except in a GU zone, station themselves, or any vehicle, goods, displays or other accouterments whatsoever, within 500 feet of any business property licensed pursuant to this Code which offers for business sale the same goods or services;

    (9)

    Leave any vehicle or non-permanent structure unattended for a period of longer than one hour:

    (10)

    Fail to provide an appropriate number and size of fire extinguishers, if using any flammable substance in vending operations;

    (11)

    Display any signs not in conformance with the city sign ordinance.

    (b)

    In addition to the prohibitions set forth in subsection (a) above, only edibles may be offered for business sale in a GU zone.
