§ 22-62. Central alarm stations.
(a)
A central alarm station shall provide continuous and uninterrupted 24-hour-per-day monitoring service for all monitoring devices connected to the system, and shall ensure satisfactory maintenance of all telephone equipment for the central alarm station to at least one law enforcement or firefighting agency, or both, as appropriate, having jurisdiction in the area where the alarm system is located.
(b)
The building official may prescribe minimum standards and regulations for the construction, maintenance and operation of all central alarm systems. These standards and regulations shall become effective upon adoption thereof by resolution of the city council.
