§ 118-134. Required soil conservation measures.
The following soil conservation measures shall be taken on all construction sites as required:
(1)
Protection during construction. The contractor shall follow standard practices for erosion control that meet or exceed water management district regulations. This shall include the protection of bare soils from wind forces.
(2)
Protection after construction. All disturbed areas shall be mulched, seeded or sodded as required by the city engineer, and shall be maintained as such. The removal or lack of maintenance of vegetation resulting in on-site and off-site erosion or wind-blown loss of soils shall be deemed a violation of this article.
